What is CAD?
The abbreviation CAD stands for computer-aided design, which in English means something like "Computer Aided Design" - in short: CAD. The term is therefore understood to mean computer-based support for design and technical tasks for the manufacture of certain products. These products include technical components, buildings or clothing.
What is a CAD drawing?
A CAD drawing is a drawing that represents a specific product in a simplified way with different lines and dashes. CAD drawings are technical drawings that contain relevant details and information for the manufacture and description of individual parts, assemblies or products.
What are CAD services?
CAD services are all activities that occur as part of a computer-aided design. These can have very different scopes and content. Many technical service providers have specialized in CAD services and use certain CAD programs to implement their services.
What tasks are included in CAD services?
· Creation of 3D models
· Creating Drawings
· Creating bills of materials
· Creation of product images and visualizations
How much do CAD services cost?
Regardless of whether a work or service contract is used for processing, the CAD service provider often calculates its prices on the basis of hourly rates. Put simply, these consist of the following components:
- Personnel expenses
- License costs
- Possibly. Risk premiums
- Sales and acquisition costs
- Allocation overheads
- Profit margin
Depending on the complexity of the task, hourly rates in Germany are usually between €50.00; and 80.00 euros.
Experience shows that very good CAD service providers are often many times more efficient than average or below-average competitors. In particular, good communication and organization as well as a high level of professionalism on the part of the processors Number and duration of development cycles shortened. The price-performance ratio is therefore much better, despite possibly higher hourly rates.
How can a CAD service provider support my business?
The demand for technical services is currently particularly high. However, many companies cannot complete the multitude of orders on time because they waste too much time on technical drawings or, more generally, on CAD-specific tasks. A CAD service provider can be helpful here. This CAD service provider has the necessary licenses for the required CAD programs and the necessary know-how. As an entrepreneur, you don’t have to purchase all the necessary licenses first and can save a lot of money. The bundled knowledge of a CAD service provider makes it extremely efficient. In many cases it makes sense to let him take over certain activities.
What are the advantages of an external CAD service provider?
+ bundled know-how
+ has the necessary CAD programs (incl. licenses)
+ has a wide network of company contacts
+ has powerful hardware to calculate the complex drawings
+ relieves the order situation
+ saves your company time and money
