Engineers only know theoretically how to build a machine? Not with us. For once, without CAD construction, we used the thumbs-up method at this year's team event on June 28th to design our own soapboxes, screw them together, paint them and send them into the race at the Moritzburg Mittelteichbad pool. All four soapboxes made it to the finish in two rounds. A small crash of the team with the rocket engine due to excessive speed in the hairpin bend spoiled the fun; no demolition. Our Rostock branch manager satß at the wheel: in his spare time he likes to surf close to the wind and also tried to get everything out of the plywood car in Moritzburg. However, the best time was achieved by the only woman at the wheel from the Puzzle-Blitz team.

We thought our team event was a great success, because there was something for everyone: hobbyists, mechanics, creative people and team bosses were able to contribute their skills to the racing team. Colleagues who don't usually work together every day had the opportunity to demonstrate their ability to work in a team in a completely new task. The organizer's catering and the weather were also top notch. After this experience we look forward to next year!
